Opportunities are being created for an experienced Mechanical/Piping/HVAC Construction Engineers  who will be responsible for the leading, managing and motivation of a team through implementation of best practice.   

 

In this role your remit will include; 

 

Develop, liaise and deliver packages of construction works within a defined scope overseeing and interfacing with the activity of a number of consortium partners and sub contractors to ensure work is conducted within established safety, quality, schedule and cost standards.

Work with the Supply Chain and 3rd Party Contractors to expedite bottlenecks to project deliverables 

Responsible for the delivery of defined ‘packages’ of work through the full construction work-cycle. (Be aware of and contribute to the overall construction plan for construction activities. 

Provide direction to engineers and sub-contractors to ensure that construction tasks are achieved in line with Business Operating Procedures (BOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) within pre-defined safety, quality, schedule and cost standards.

Co-ordinate construction reviews and produce instructions, installation sequencing and method statement documentation and responsibility for providing support to engineers on all construction matters within the consortium partners and sub- contractors (with awareness of the overall work schedule plan). 

Utilise construction methodologies, process and procedures and work in line with existing Business Operating Procedures (BOPs). Assist colleagues in problem solving, exercising considerable judgment and knowledge of construction processes and procedures to determine appropriate solutions. 

Manage relevant documentation (e.g. work instructions, RAMS., installation sequencing) to build, maintain and report accurate event profiles (e.g. cost, resource and schedule forecasts).

Liaise with customers/stakeholders within area of construction scope. Completion of activities on time, to the required quality and to target costs.

Drive opportunities for efficiency savings and development as well as contributing to project reviews/lessons learned and sharing of best practices.

You'll be a great communicator with a proven track record and able to translate strategic goals into easily understood plans which inspire others to deliver with positivity and enthusiasm, You'll probably be formally qualified in procurement / supply chain ideally with MCIPS and experienced in multi-project procurement.

 

More importantly you'll be comfortable applying your commercial and business understanding to solve problems, deliver business goals/plans and identify opportunities.
