Due to an internal promotion we now seek a Planning Manager to lead the team involved in the following.

Long Description


The role will be working with and managing a team of planners on a Major EPC project, where assessing, validating and understanding Subcontractor schedules and performance against a master baseline is key. Knowledge of NEC 3 / 4 contracts will be required along with a fundamental understanding of Primavera software, reporting requirements, change control / trends, risk management, resource management, estimating and alignment with costs.

Knowledge of Interactive Planning utilising digital data would be a distinct advantage along with the Key tasks noted below:

Key tasks include, but not limited to:

Review all appropriate engineering, procurement, manufacturing and subcontractor / site construction project schedules and advise the Project Manager of variances and impacts to deterministic and P50 baseline.

Assess Subcontractor baseline and monthly schedule submissions for quality, logic, changes and key dates

Proactively forecast, trend and analyse construction schedule activities for Earned value (EV) and Value of Wok Done (VOWD). Float erosion, resource impacts using EVA techniques and all other available data.

· Develop project specific schedules that clearly identify the project processes and linking of activities as required for multi-functional project team interfaces.

· Maintain communications and dialogue with other Project Control personnel (cost controllers, document controllers, estimators) to help ensure excellence in delivery of Project Control function.

· Providing the Project Manager with complete and accurate planning schedule(s), capable of providing, on a routine basis, Critical path analysis and EVA data by individual Project.

· Provide the project with a complete and accurate Project Planning service.

· Identify Schedule variances as early as possible, report issues to the Project Manager and develop mitigation strategies
