This role will lead the creation and implementation of industry-leading adult learning and training to Bobcat Company dealer Sales and Management personnel. This position ensures Bobcat dealer Sales and Management personnel are the most competent in the compact equipment industry to facilitate achieving Bobcat Company’s revenue, market share and customer satisfaction targets. This position is also responsible for the management of $1M consignment inventory.

Role & Responsibility

Training and Curriculum

  • Develop and manage a strategic training curriculum for Bobcat dealer sales personnel to drive sales, market share and margin.
  • Lead and drive continuous improvement into training programs while ensuring consistency across all training courses (online and in-person).
  • Lead creation of in-person training activities that teach and validate product knowledge.

Training Management

  • Track all dealer sales specialists’ training to ensure they are progressing in their sales capabilities. 
  • Lead training metrics, analytics, channels and technologies.
  • Ensure appropriate product training courses are available throughout the year to train every sales specialist that should attend training for new products, current product updates and competitive products. 
  • Ensure coordinated and aligned training plan across functional stakeholders through development of the Training Long Range Plan.

Vendor Management

  • Drive cost-effective, high quality and timely delivery of training content from our vendors. 

Equipment Logistics

  • Direct equipment logistics for training, major events, and photo/video.

 Staff & Financial Management 

  • Development of the Product Training staff through coaching and mentoring, emphasizing a culture of customer service and continuous improvement.
  • Manage department budget.

Job Requirement

  • Education Required: Bachelor's Degree.  Master’s Degree preferred in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Learning, or related Adult Education major.
  • Training and Six Sigma Belt certifications.
  • 10+ years of recent experience including in-person, online and application learning/training, as well as reseller/dealer Sales and Service training.
  • Experience in the most recent past 10 years leading adult learning and training teams at a variety of companies in a variety of industries preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of creating and implementing industry-leading adult learning and product and sales training curriculum for resellers/dealers.
  • Comprehensive understanding and first-hand experience creating and delivering product and sales training, including role-playing and application-based scenarios. 
  • First-hand knowledge and highly competent utilizing the latest in adult learning and training technologies and platforms for product and sales training.
  • Exceptional ability to analyze data to develop and execute strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly implement new technologies to address unmet needs.
  • Ability to influence and create a culture of continuous learning.
  • Demonstrated history of exceptional coaching and mentoring skills, including for remote employees.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Exceptional ability to execute.
  • Strong vendor management skills.
  • Travel Required: 30% - 40%, including some weekends.
