Job Information
The Product UI Manager is responsible for driving the human interface strategy for Bobcat construction equipment. The Product UI Manager will accomplish this by working with development teams to create a scalable and flexible user interface strategy and methodology. They will lead the development and alignment of the UI across the organization and ensure proper execution. Specializing in benchmarking products, in and outside the industry, they will be the voice of the business, and safeguard the integrity of the approved UI to exceed customer expectations and contribute to an overall Bobcat brand experience designed to achieve sales and financial targets.
Role & Responsibility
- Develop and execute a consistent Global User Interface Strategy and Roadmap across all product lines.
- Drive the adoption of the Global User Interface Strategy and Roadmap into all products by communicating and validating implementation with other product development teams.
- Create and leverage product differentiation through innovative user interface product attributes.
- Leverage customer interviews, internal and external data as well as secondary retail market information to establish regular usability testing and translate results into actionable information.
- Identify and establish successful relationships with UI vendors including maintaining effective communication and delivery of established requirements and performance targets.
Job Requirement
- Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Product Engineering, Business Administration or related major. Equivalent experience in lieu of degree will be accepted. MBA preferred.
- Experience Required: 7+ years. Experience preferred in UI/UX/HMI/CX of tangible products.
- Travel Required: 10-20%.
- Demonstrate the following:
- Principles of Lean Six Sigma & QFD.
- Business acumen (i.e. distribution, cost accounting, margin improvement).
- Lead and develop cross-functional teams.
- Drive execution of initiatives across functions, products, and global regions.
- Strong strategy/planning skills.
