We are looking for Quality Lead Geith to join our team at Bobcat. 

Job Information

As Quality Lead at Geith, you will be working with Geith suppliers and departments to deliver Geith products that meet the quality expectations of our customers. This includes tracking and reporting on quality KPI’s, developing quality standards, continuous implementation of quality processes, leading communication on quality issues, PPAP approval and new product implementation.

The role is a technical lead position and will require cooperation and collaboration with suppliers accross all regions including Europe, Asia (China & India) and North America.

We’re looking for someone who will:

  • Support product quality validation within the NPD & OEM project management process
  • Define and effective communication of the PQR ‘Product Requirements Document’ and complete supplier technical review
  • Work together with Engineering department on the definition of validation requirements
  • Quality lead from the first steps of supplier integration process (prototype phase) to early sourcing and into the APQP-PPAP phase through to Geith serial production including Safe Launch.
  • Responsible for PPAP submission review and sign off across Geith product and suppliers
  • Warranty complaint data analysis and effective communication of common product defect, trends and performance
  • Root cause investigation of manufacturing/product defect and successful closure of 8D report including validation of corrective and preventative action plan
  • Perform supplier visits for problem solving reviews and specific focus audits related to the common defects
  • Definition of the annual schedule for supplier product audits and conduct weekly audit review including supplier and quality team feedback
  • Perform OSA ‘Onsite Assessment Audit’ for new potential suppliers
  • Definition of annual warranty & supplier KPI targets and effective communication and performance tracking
  • Data analysis and effective communication of common defect, trends and performance
  • Lead the supplier development support team defining the supplier visits and workload
  • Provide support for supplier quality technicians and engineers with all quality related issues
  • Support operation and service with emergency issues related to poor supplier quality
  • Ensure defect costs are captured and communicated effectively and pursue cost recovery from the supplier

What sets you apart:

  • Proven experience in quality engineering role with responsibility for product validation and supplier quality development
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (Lean Manufacturing experience preferred)
  • Excellent knowledge of steel fabrications and all associated processes
  • Basic knowledge of casting, hydraulic and electrical component manufacture
  • Knowledge of quality tools and parts validation process (PPAP and APQP, SPC, 8D)
  • Experience in dealing with multi location teams, with the flexibility to travel globally
  • Good judgement and leadership skills
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical thinker & decision maker
