Job Information

The Product Manager supports building the Company's product and innovation advantage by working with Channel Marketing to create optimal products and product improvements.  This includes maximizing product gross profit and customer satisfaction as well as other requested tasks or projects as assigned.

Role & Responsibility

Production Roadmap

  • Coordinate global product roadmap of assigned Product Lines and lead regional collaboration.

New Product Opportunity

  • Identify & lead local VoC collection to meet customer segmentation needs.
  • Identify options and attachments to support the segmentation programs & market-specific solutions initiative.
  • Identify & lead upgrades & options to current product portfolio.
  • Work within the marketing team to prepare the new product, new market launch plans.
  • Develop exit strategies for current models, product family.

Project Prioritization

  • Analyze business opportunities, urgency from the market and regional resources, and prioritize development projects.  Align with regions.
  • Create NPOs for higher priority projects.

Product marketing

  • Market studies to identify changing market needs, segments, and opportunities.
  • Marketshare data analysis by product, channel, market, industry, region, geography.
  • Competitive landscape & analysis, including Market Intelligence and Industry, needs analysis, Voice of Market, trends by segment, Voice of the customer, desired features, specifications, etc.
  • Development and dissemination of Product & application training and training material.
  • Work with the marketing team to produce copy, photography, advertising & promotion budget approval.
  • Participation in Industry events & associations.

Job Requirement

  • Education Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Engineering
  • Experience Required:  5+ years of experience in Product Development, Engineering, or Market Development
  • Travel Required: 10-24%
  • Experience in building business plans and projecting/measuring Return On Investment
  • Experience in conducting and compiling customer research
  • Construction product (or related) development knowledge and operation experience
  • Financial acumen
  • Strong communication skills (team leadership, presentation ability, proactive focus due to geographies)
  • International travel may occur
