Role & Responsibility
  • Support business development function by generating key reports that help drive Parts business development activities (impacts decisions on EBIT). Examples include reporting that supports analysis on: sales programs, dealer purchasing trends, commodity sales, stock order ratio trends, parts segmentations, etc.
  • Administer direct-shipment invoicing from local vendors, including outbound freight to dealers (impacts cash flow and freight recovery). This would include non-EDI invoice activities, as well as any review / reconciliation of freight billing from vendor that should be invoiced to the dealer.
  • Track freight spend for carrier performance (impacts cost avoidance). Generate freight reporting for functional review and payment approval, as well as carrier performance trends and analysis to ensure delivery quality standards are being met. If standards are not being met, the reporting would be used to recover / avoid spend from carriers.
  • Support business case preparation for parts business development initiatives (accelerates LRP execution). This includes research and collection of content needed by the Parts Business Development team to prioritize parts business development opportunities. For example, calculate landed cost of a new parts product / segment to determine potential return on investment, prioritization of an opportunity vs. alternatives, make vs. buy, etc.
  • Collect market-based pricing of key parts segments (impacts sales volumes). As directed, catalog and document competitors’ pricing on strategic parts items. Monitor pricing to ensure Doosan’s pricing is well-positioned and provide additional reporting as needed. By taking on this task, the Pricing Manager will be able to concentrate on LRP pricing activities (i.e. pricing software)
  • Support marketing communications (improve dealer satisfaction). Maintain content needs for DealerNet Parts section, as well as work with functions to collect marketing material for other communication activities. For example, collect content for Parts & Service dealer emails, consolidate material for dealer call-ins, work with marketing to update content on DealerNet, etc.
Job Requirement
  • Jr. or Sr. standing seeking a degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 3.0 or higher GPA
  • Minimum of 20 hours/week, more hours a plus
  • Strong background in Microsoft Office Suite (especially in PowerPoint and graphics)
  • Excellent communications skills and high level of motivation
  • Commitment to Doosan for the entire 8 month term of the co-op
  • Co-op Credit Reimbursement : $1,000
