The Cost Analyst II role works to ensure that accurate costs are maintained for the use in inventory valuation for products manufactured in the plant. To provide financial analysis relative to productivity improvements, factory spending, manufacturing variances, standard costs, and inventory management. To assist in the planning and coordinating for the physical inventory. To assist in the planning and creation of the yearly standards update process.

Role & Responsibility

Main Responsibility: Financial Statements and Asset Protection

  • Provide financial analysis relative to productivity improvements, factory spending, manufacturing variances, standard costs and inventory management
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of the physical inventory management
  • Effectively work with internal and external auditors
  • Actively participate on cross-functional teams
  • Develop material standards and provide monthly analysis of purchasing variances
  • Analyze ECN's for impact on product costs, margins, and plant efficiencies
  • Assist in the planning and creation of the yearly standards update process

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; or Business with an Accounting or Finance minor
  • 2+ years’ experience preferred in financial or cost accounting.  
  • Knowledge of financial accounting, cycle counting, physical inventory and cost accounting.
  • Oracle experience is a plus.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with standard costing method preferred.
  • Microsoft Office Suite competency, including strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent cross-functional teamwork skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.

Difficulties & area of focus when carrying out job (position):
Multi-Site responsibilities in this position. There will be regular communication with off-site contacts and possible travel to other Doosan facilities on a quarterly or bi-annual basis.
