Job Information

Leadership of skilled manufacturing operations including production, machining, assembly & test, quality, and facilities. Planning and allocation of resources, materials, and scheduling of equipment for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. Assess physical layout of operations, and determine most efficient and effective sequence of operations and work flow to achieve schedule and budget targets. Accountable for entire systems, projects, programs, and overall operational achievements within manufacturing discipline. Support budget development, approval process, and assure budget achievement. Manage staffing and operational results. Responsible for effective leadership of all direct reports, and their effective leadership of the full manufacturing team.

Job Requirement

Education & Experience

  • BA/BS degree with 7-10+ years of experience
  • MA/MS degree with 4-7+ years of experience
  • PhD with 2-4+ years of experience
  • Metrics development, use, and assessment to analyze productivity and other essential business measures.
  • Exposure to leading an hourly production and test workforce.
  • Facilities management experience
  • Experience with ERP and quality systems

Knowledge & Skill

  • Ability to effectively lead a complex manufacturing business of substantial size.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Financial acumen and budget development
  • Experience and skill with use of quality improvement tools and concepts, with focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and root cause/corrective action
