Job Information

Perform substantially varied and complex clerical, administrative and other assigned HR tasks to support one or more of the disciplines within the Human Resources functions. These disciplines include Recruiting, Employee Relations, Staffing, and HRIS. Duties include support of new employee orientation and on-boarding, compilation, and maintenance of hard and soft employee records, and recruiting support. Perform other related duties as required and assigned, including other administrative support needs and special projects or tasks. Resolves most questions and problems and refers only the most complex issues to a higher level.

Role & Responsibility

  • Reply to employment verifications, wage and unemployment requests, garnishments, levies, and other general requests.
  • Conduct onboarding for all new hires to include pre-employment screenings, background check, payroll set-up, I-9 verification, and benefit enrollment.
  • Conducts employment related research and assists recruitment leader with electronic and other methods of sourcing of qualified candidates.
  • Assists recruitment team with customized screening and initial contact of applicants to determine qualification and interest level.
  • Refers appropriate candidates to recruiter and/or hiring supervisor.
  • Represents and promotes organization to potential applicants by providing information, responding to questions, and collecting applicant data.
  • Responsible for daily management of related records maintenance, both physical and digital.

Job Requirement

Education & Experience

  • AA/AS degree with 2-4+ years of experience / BA/BS degree with 1-2+ years of experience. PHR Certification a plus.
  • Prioritization and multi-tasking experience to meet deadlines and adapt to new or changing business priorities.
  • Familiarity with labor laws and hands on experience with an HRIS system.

Knowledge & Skill

  • Basic principles and practices of Human Resources and HR administration.
  • Ability to work regularly with highly sensitive and confidential material, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
  • Outstanding customer service and analytical skills preferably learned in a manufacturing environment.
