Job Information

Responsible for leading and developing a world-class quality organization, with focus on the quality control of tier 1 and sub-tier suppliers throughout the supply chain, including supplier development and supplier ramp-up for all key incoming production materials. Requires close collaboration with cross functional teams and disciplines across the business. Focus on close interaction with engineering and manufacturing leadership to ensure quality requirements are met for all production parts. Lead focus on and assurance of maintaining an ISO certified environment. Lead continuous improvement activities to elevate the company’s capability in areas of Inspection, COPQ, quantitative process control and process efficiency. Establish and maintain a system of metrics to continually and accurately monitor measurable supplier and internal quality performance. Accountable for entire systems, projects, and programs across and within the various functional groups. Responsible for budget, staffing and operational results.

Role & Responsibility

  • Interpret and analyze quality-related data and provide technical advice and guidance to management
  • Definition and monitoring quality inspection requirements of components and systems, and support incoming and supplier inspection with technical expertise and guidance.
  • Perform source inspections, process audits and implementation of supplier development plans.
  • Ensure on-time implementation of corrective actions and verification of preventative action effectiveness
  • Create and follow new and established quality processes, policies and programs, continuous improvement objectives and initiatives.
  • Establish a clear vision that motivates others to accomplish both what the organization and the customers need, to assure organizational success
  • Support/drive failure analysis and corrective actions to identify and resolve the root causes of problems.
  • Lead, guide, train and develop employees on quality policies and procedures, quality related matters and company objectives
  • Provide a clear vision of the quality objectives in place and needed to support the company mission.
  • Hold leaders accountable for developing quality talent both within and external to the quality organization

Job Requirement

Education & Qualification

  • BA/BS degree with 10+ years of experience
  • MA/MS degree with 7+ years of experience
  • PhD with 4+ years of experience

Knowledge & Skill

  • Extensive knowledge gained through managing a Quality organization in a manufacturing environment
  • Deployment and management of a Quality Management System.
  • Expertise in ISO 9001 standards
  • Interpretation of technical drawings and specifications, industry specific standards and knowledge of change control methods and processes
  • Proficient Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization
  • Fluency in Mandarin or Korean a plus
