DESA - Manager of Accounting / Finance

Position Summary:  Responsible for accumulation, classification, maintenance, audit, analysis, reconciliation, and consolidation of accounting/finance/treasury information such as accounts payable and receivable, credit and collections, parent company reporting and filings. Provides strategic direction for systems, projects, and programs in areas of expertise.

Role & Responsibility

• Complete, assure and facilitate updates to monthly/quarterly forecast reporting.
• Lead company in performing Identification, understanding and communicating spectrum of relevant information managed.
• Design and develop ad hoc reporting, as needed, and lead and participate in ad hoc projects and initiatives.
• Respond to inquiries of management, outside departments and auditors in a timely, professional and accurate manner.
• Assign and perform complex account reconciliations and journal entries that comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Review and analyze monthly departmental reports and approve prepared month end close notes to identify trends and correct discrepancies.
• Planning, forecasting and comparison of financial/accounting activity.
• Preparation, consolidation, analysis and documentation of accounting information and financial data used to summarize and measure and report on the status of the business in key and relevant accounting areas.

Job Requirement

Education: BA/BS in Accounting or Finance with previous work experience, CPA desirable, all levels of experience will be considered.

Special Requirements: Must have fluency in both Korean and English language both written and verbal.  Must be available to work as needed during off normal business hours to align with South Korean time zone as necessary.
