Job Information

Responsible for operational performance supporting the timely and accurate testing of fuel cell components, subassemblies, and full-scale units. Support of and participation in production engineering team(s) and missions. Work to support issues such as allocation of resources, support of test-related priorities, identification of non-conformances for resolution, and performance of planned and unplanned product acceptance testing and related tasks. Support the test duties and tasks in conjunction with procurement and materials control, enabling the installation and commissioning of new and upgraded test stands, equipment and facilities. Effective collaboration with and across engineering disciplines, supply chain and materials coordination, with focus on hourly assembly and test functions. Focus on non-conformance identification and prompt recommendations for remedial actions to help determine root cause and corrective actions in a timely, cost effective and customer-focused approach.

This position is for 2nd shift (Monday - Friday) 2pm-10:30pm.

Role & Responsibility

  • Focus on application and use of simple to difficult production and engineering practices and principles to achieve desired results
  • Keep abreast of new test technology development and consider new opportunities to advance and improve the test organization in terms of process, equipment and performance/productivity elevation.

Job Requirement

Education & Experience

  • BS/BA degree with 0-2+ years of experience
  • Degree in Engineering required
  • Exposure to working in an hourly manufacturing test organization preferred
  • Metric usage experience required

Knowledge & Skill

  • Technical education and foundation in test engineering
  • Experienced and skilled in use of quality improvement tools, with focus on innovation, continuous improvement, and root cause/corrective action.
  • Some project and team participation skills
  • Good organizational, communications and quality assurance skills
  • IT and specific test-related systems and programs
