Job Information

Responsible for scheduling and forecasting (planning) the necessary volumes of materials, goods and products provided to the business (inventory) and allocation of the inventory to production per production requirements. Utilize MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) or IT system in place and assure and ensure data is accurate and up-to-date, and resolve any related issues as required. Ensure the materials supply is planned to meet operational and production continuity. Provide efficient, effective and flexible solutions to meet production requirements. Maintains strong relationships, both internally and externally, to assure supply of materials meets requirements.

Role & Responsibility

  • Schedule the supply of materials and components to meet production requirements in a timely manner (JIT), with minimum safety stock levels.
  • Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions.
  • Understand and manage risks to minimize impacts on production schedules.
  • Take follow-up actions in relation to material shortages that affect production schedules/needs.
  • Monitor the integrity of the Bill of Materials (BOM) and manage inventory accuracy.
  • Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets, and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement opportunity.

Job Requirement


  • BS/BA degree (or equivalent 4 years of experience) with additional 3-5+ years of experience

Knowledge & Skill

  • Strong IT systems knowledge (MRP)
  • Previous experience in Materials Planning
  • Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and materials specifications.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Examination of Engineering drawings for inaccuracies in material component specification
  • Familiarity with procurement , inventory and parts planning of raw materials
  • Strong communications, time-management and problem-solving skills
  • Ability/experience in achieving results in a highly organized manner/process focus.
  • Ability/experience in interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule format.
