A number of opportunities have been created for Electrical Engineers and Design Engineers to work on the delivery of a portfolio of Major Primary Distribution and Infrastructure Network projects from concept, specification through to development, design, procurement installation to commissioning and handover.
Covering LV, MV up to 11kv and UPS networks you will be part of a team responsible for the;
• Management of the design, development, procurement, installation, commissioning of CAPEX alongside the decommissioning and upgrade of existing assets, engineering processes, systems, services and products currently in place within a high-risk environment.
• Ensure all relevant design standards/practices including British & European Standards are in place.
• Manage Design Intent, Critical Safety Factors along with Safety and Operational Requirements.
• Identify and Validate opportunities to use Emerging Technology in re-engineering of assets or new CAPEX.
• The development, management of Design documentation, including Changes and Concessions.
• Check and review calculations and as required.
• Production and development of MRO/RAMS schedules, operating procedures, and results to satisfy design requirements and safety case through life.
• Produce technical justifications to allow relevant civil/structural design modifications to be authorized.
• Presentation of Design solutions to safety committees.
• Develop and Manage Periodic Review of Safety reports.
Additional skills should include;
• Experience in the specification of systems and components for both HV and LV electrical networks.
• Safety Case Development - HAZID/HAZOP studies.
• Familiarity with industrial plant and machinery such as Pumps, Generators, SKID Systems, HVAC, and SCADA Systems • Experience in the system design and assessment of safety-related structures, systems and components operating within hazardous safety critical environment.
Applications are eagerly sought from Degree Qualified Electrical Engineers and Design Engineers with experience in the requirements development, design and validation of electrical distribution networks including switchgear, transformers and cabling, specification and design integration of plant and equipment for safety critical hazardous environments such as Nuclear, Oil and Gas, Power Generation and Marine.
