We are currently recruiting for a Project Procurement Manager/Contract Officer to provide an efficient & cost effective value added support across projects supporting the Supply Chain function in particular nuclear projects but also support to projects within the process industries from a Subcontract perspective . The purpose of the role is to be responsible for establishing and implementing the procurement activity defined in a project delivery including the Project Procurement Plan, Project Cost Report, Project Execution Procurement Plan and contribution to the Project Execution Plan & Project Program.


Duties will include:


  • Manage and lead the end to end procurement activity for the Project and / or specific packages / scopes of work as defined by Project Procurement Lead at outset of proposal or project delivery
  • Responsible for all commercial and supply chain risk management and reporting for assigned project procurement activity.
  • Demonstrate compliance to all procurement policies and procedures as appropriate, thus ensuring an efficient and auditable procurement trail.
  • Provide effective and timeous Project Reporting, raising early warning of issues.
  • Investigate and qualify suppliers, negotiating contracts to ensure that company/supplier relationships are effective and productive
  • Manage supplier performance -(Completion of Supplier Performance Evaluations).


We are looking for an experienced procurement specialist with Project Procurement Management experience. You will have a HNC (or equivalent) in Business Studies, Economics or Engineering and ideally with CIPS or RICS accreditation. You will be able to demonstrate experience in implementing and managing Subcontracts within the nuclear and process industries. Experience in EPC projects and Oracle systems would be ideal.
