We are currently recruiting for a Project Procurement Manager. You will be responsible to delivery of project procurement and support of wider Procurement and Supply Chain Strategy. You will proactively engage with the Business Unit Managers and actively demonstrate where procurement are adding value  across our supply chain . You will ensure the effective management and deployment of their team and oversee that they are working effectively and are compliant with Business Operating Procedures.   


Duties will include:

  • Assist the Project Team in the definition and implementation of the Procurement and Supply Chain  strategies.
  • Responsible for the Project procurement and supply chain activity as directed by the Commercial Manager 
  • Responsible for all supply chain risk management and reporting for the project procurement activity
  • Ensure team are operating compliantly through spot check and internal audit.
  • Ensure Project Procurement key documents are maintained and reported on. (Procurement Strategy, Cost Report, Procurement Tracker etc).
  • Provide expert knowledge of sector specific supply markets and bring insight and introduce new/innovative approaches or ways of working to optimize delivery
  • Actively seek innovative solutions to problems and identify/evaluate competitive sources to meet the company’s commercial objectives. Participate in, and lead review sessions/lessons learned to identify improvement opportunities
  • Meet agreed performance objectives and ways of working; identify and progress areas for personal development.
  • Oversee Project Expediting to ensure Engineering Specifications and Criticality are correctly executed paying particular attention to the management of the PDRS (Procurement Document Requirement Schedule)
  • Ensure CSR is considered in all procurement decisions‘, reviewing sector Clients' CSR approach for review against DB CSR policy and identify any gaps to HoPP
  • Utilise an extensive internal and external (client) relationship network of key stakeholders to monitor market trends and conditions. Provide expert technical support with innovative and differentiating solutions in order to influence customer decision making/satisfaction.


As Project Procurement Manager you will have extensive appropriate experience of working on large scale Engineering / Power / packages for EPC Projects. You will have strong negotiation skills, and control of external equipment and services suppliers and contractors. It is desirable (not essential) if the candidate has previously worked as part of a consortium.
