The Group formed in 2020 by combining our industrial process engineering and construction business, thermal power heritage and our renewable energy sector in one location to ensure that collective experience can be deployed for the benefit of our customers.

We are currently looking for a Technician to join the business on a permanent basis to provide electrical and mechanical technical support to ensure the safe operation and maintenance of a range of low carbon energy test facilities and site-based plant.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Provide day-to-day electrical and mechanical technical support for the safe operation and maintenance of a range of in-house test facilities.
  • Undertake unsupervised EC&I maintenance, proactively ensuring that the instrumentation is fit for purpose and in working order (e.g. instrument calibrations, calibration gases for gas analysis, etc).
  • Undertake unsupervised routine workplace inspections, housekeeping tasks and routine mechanical maintenance, ensuring that all task risk assessments, COSHH risk assessments and COSHH inventory are current and complete. All documentation and QA records are up to date and auditable.

Applicants should hold an ONC or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline. You should also have previous experience in the following: Servicing and maintenance of fluid/thermal systems; HSE (risk assessment, COSHH, Permit to Work); Control and Instrumentation; Electrical Engineering (LV & MV); Building Control Services; PLC/DCS Drive Systems.

This role also requires a strong background in both written and verbal reporting, and you should be open to regular travel as this will be required.
