Communications Officer

The friendly and collaborative Marketing and Communication team at Altrad Babcock have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Communications Officer to join them in Renfrew. We are seeking a creative and dynamic individual with strong digital experience who has worked in a corporate environment for >2 years.

 
Reporting to the Communications Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the communications strategy, spanning internal and external communications, across a variety of platforms to reach a broad audience. This is a fast-paced and exciting role, with lots of variety on a day-to-day basis. You will have the opportunity to help shape the way we deliver our communications, and continually improving our processes where necessary.

Working with the different teams to identify communication needs and opportunities, as a trusted advisor to colleagues of all levels, you will have the skills to ensure effective communication is at the heart of their work, allowing you to build and maintain strong relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Our preferred candidate will have the ability to support social media campaigns, actively finding and creating engaging content and stories from across the business, you will support the design, creation and execution of communication and engagement campaigns and experiences that bring our people together in new and engaging ways.

 
The new Communications Officer should have a proactive and highly organised approach to work, able to horizon scan to identify opportunities for engagement and events activity, as well as a proven ability to participate effectively within mixed-discipline teams, and significant experience of working in environments with competing priorities – managing an independent workload with little supervision and contributing to team objectives and demands at the same time. We are looking for an officer with a Degree-level or equivalent qualification in Marketing or Communication or in a relevant subject.
