Job Information

The Product Management Data Specialist is responsible for the execution of product management support and administration activities ensuring that information about Bobcat products is shared appropriately between business systems and functional groups. This position will provide regular process guidance and training to the Global Product Management teams; including proactively identifying and recommending ways to improve the current product launch processes with the goals of improving decision quality, reducing cycle time, improving scalability, and improving efficiency. This position ensures that internal stakeholders, systems, and distribution channels are using the same product, specification, and pricing information from a well-maintained source. This position will facilitate the continuation of efficient data management and order entry in all regions and serve to develop and enforce good processes globally.

Role & Responsibility

•    Support the Product Managers across regions through management and coordination of key processes, including but not limited to launching new products, keeping existing products up to date, price changes, and product discontinuations.
•    Execute all data requests for new products and updates to existing products. 
•    Maintain and provide accurate product information and pricing information for Doosan Bobcat channel partners and Doosan Bobcat personnel through printed materials, PDF documents for distribution via channel applications and in quoting and ordering systems.
•    Setup new product, option package configurations, NAGS/Key account specific items, pricing, and other relevant information in ordering systems such as Oracle Configurator, CPQ Admin, and Quote & Order and SAP S4Hana 
•    Conduct validation sessions with Product Manager(s), Inside Sales representative and Product Call Center representative to ensure product is set up accurately prior to launch
•    Create supporting product documentation including price pages and bid specifications that will be provided to Marketing and other interested functions.
•    Entry and continued management of product specifications and auto order rules in systems to ensure distribution channel is working off the latest information
•    Manage product information through entire product life cycle from creation to discontinuation ensuring that all systems are updated appropriately throughout
Governance:
•    Identify and execute operational improvement initiatives and communicate implemented solutions to Product Managers and other affected departments across regions
•    Lead the cleansing, normalization and standardization of global product information including part numbers, descriptions, specifications and other related data working with Product Managers, ECOCs, Inside Sales, and IT
•    Closely collaborate with product managers, inside sales and commercial team across regions to structure the product catalog to support easy quoting and ordering by users but also meets company requirements
•    Drive sharing of product information across systems including GPIM, IRW, DealerNET and departments including Marketing and Service to ensure one source of truth
•    Drive the consistent use of product information across all systems and regions by participating in technical projects that require access to product information
•    Develop, follow, and enforce data standards across regions
•    Closely collaborate with resources in all regions to support the data needs of product launch schedule
Competitive Analysis:
•    Monitor and communicate competitor product intelligence to Product Managers and Product Trainers
•    Maintain competitive specification data to be used in comparisons with Bobcat products
•    Provide competitor product information to the Product Management Analytic and Reporting team to ensure UCC data is mapped accurately to Bobcat products.
 

Job Requirement

•    Education Required: BS in Business, Web/Software Development, Information Systems or related experience.
•    Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years
•    Travel Required:  10-24%
•    Experience with product bill of materials and configuration preferred
•    Highly proactive, extremely organized, self-starter capable of managing several projects at the same time
•    Ability to drive efficiency for the global Product Management team pursuing solutions and providing recommendations for enhanced operations
•    Able to build positive business relationships and work collaboratively across organizational and regional boundaries
•    High level of customer service with effective communication and presentation skills
•    Attention to detail and accuracy
•    Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft Office products especially Excel
•    Experience with Jira and Confluence preferred
