Job Information

The R&D Project Leader is responsible for the definition and development of innovative product solutions for the Compact Business Group and contributes directly to the construction of our Long Term Technical Roadmap.

Main missions

The development of new projects: formalization of targets, product definition and initial FMEA
The organization of the product development and the the validation process through physical or virtual proof of concept
The collaboration with supplier & External partners
The preparation and presentation of project milestones to R&D steering committee
Project management and technical support taking into account technical objectives, time and budget constraints, working with suppliers within the framework of the internal R&D process and its  associated deliverables.
•  Coordinate his/her designated projects in interface with other departments (CORE, Application, prototypes, Simulation, Testing, Purchasing…)
•  Drive his/her project team with functional contributors (R&D, Bobcat internal, External partners): establish a development strategy to deliver a solution (Design, proof of performance, functional &risk analysis) to a future market need
•  Be proactive in proposing new projects coherent with the product plan and with market research.
•  Lead ideation process to feed R&D roadmap
• Protect all ideas via Patents and Invention Disclosures. Keeps abreast of technology evolution, market research and competitors
•  Build and keep up to date all means of communication (internal, external and marketing support) linked to his/her activity. Is the internal and external ambassador for his/her projects within Bobcat and externally.

Job Requirement

o Degree in Mechanical Engineering
o   Working knowledge of Off-road business
o Technical Project management experience
o   Track records on Innovation mindset (papers, patents, etc…)
o   English required
o   International mind set, able to work in a multicultural environment
o   Natural attention to details
o   Focus on delivering projects effectively and on time.
o   Team player with strong communication skills
