The role is open for France/ Nantes - Pont Chateu or for Czech Republic/ Prague, Central Behemia

Within the R&D project team led by R&D project leader, the R&D Design Engineer must think creatively and be imaginative in order to design new products, have excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication skills. He has hands-on experience using CAD software, with strong attention to detail and a creative flair. He is driving Mock-ups, Mules & POC assembly together with purchasing & Prototype team.

He/She engineers products with various criteria in mind, including cost-effectiveness, user experience and environmental standards. The role of a R&D Design Engineer is also to analyze data from tests on prototypes, craft progress reports and present his work to steering committees.

Main missions

Research new product ideas and methods
Find creative design solutions to problems.
Design new products (3D & drawings)
Support functional analysis.
Pilot prototype or POC builds with proto team.
Interact with suppliers & external partners.
Analyze prototype data and rework if needed.
Ensure compliance with the industry’s safety standards.
Ensure products are user- and environment-friendly.
Maintain accurate records.
Write detailed reports
Present prototypes and designs to the team and project managers

Job Requirement

o Degree in Mechanical Engineering
o   Working knowledge of Off-road business
o   Experience & expertise in Structural and kinematics design
o   Wide knowledge on steel processing (shaping & assembling) and other material (plastic molding and injection, aluminum …)
o   English required
o   Analytical mind
o   Natural attention to details
o   Focus on delivering projects effectively and on time.
o   Extensive experience as a Design Engineer or a similar role using CAD software Creo is a plus
o   Good understanding of safety standards and environmental impact of a design
o   Good oral and written communication
