Job Information

PPIC Leader is responsible for the procurement planning and execution processes related to material disposition. His/her role is to train, coach, and develop a team, which will deploy and manage these operations, at the best possible cost.

She or he is responsible of managing a team related to procurement in the PPIC platform, lead the implementation of standard procurements processes and their continuous improvement in term of cost, effectiveness, and standardization.

PPIC Leader Is accountable for
•    Team management: Dispatch the workload inside the team (4-6 persons 40 suppliers/500 references per planer), cascade the team objectives, set up relevant KPI, follow the results, manage career plans of team members, ensure individual assessments and training.
•    Take part in the development and the follow-up of relative budgets.
•    Ensure the respect of Doosan/Bobcat standards
•    Material planning daily operations in the perimeter (team), according to agreed service level agreements with plants / other structures
•    To ensure team budget achievement
•    Ensure the adherence to Doosan procurement processes, and propose, design and implement continuous improvement on processes and tools used in the PPIC platform

Deliverables, Performance Indicators
•    Supplier performance: OTD, Past dues, RSO, Cancels, PO confirmation, ASN activity
•    Alerts: # of alerts raised, resolution effectiveness, time to solve
•    Inventories/cash management: Inventory reduction process (parameter challenges), Safety stock optimization, stock in transit optimization
•    Cost effectiveness: number of lines processed/month, MOQ, Freight effectivity, Exceptional freight
•    Competence center: Team Skills matrix score improvement

Specific Activities Execution
•    On behalf of the plants, build-up a leveled procurement program (PO) per part/supplier, according to MRP calculation.
•    Provide a forecast and net demand to suppliers.
•    Release orders to suppliers and ensure visibility on the ETA to all upstream stakeholders in the systems/reports needed.
•    React on changes in demand and process regularly rescheduling of orders, if needed.
•    Consultation with Production Schedulers regarding availability of production lines.
•    Create and maintain supplier Forecast and analyze larger forecast changes.
•    Lead investigations on high-risk supplier topics
•    Collaborate with the Transport Team to synchronize and optimize both transport and supply plans.
•    Follow-up the execution of the PO, raise and manage alerts when needed.
•    Ensure that purchase orders supply statement is up to date + focus strongly on shipments that are past due which might risk production build schedule. 
•    Measure the supplier’s delivery performance (OTD), collaborate with Sourcing and the plant to define corrective actions and improvement plans.
•    Ensure the eventual supplier claims and cost recharge inputs to Planning manager and follow the complete process with sourcing to provide visibility & forecast.
•    Collaborate with the plant, sourcing and transportation team to continuously reduce inventories through regular reviews of the inventory parameters in Oracle (SS, PL, PPLT, MOQ)

Role & Responsibility

Process standardization and development
•    Support and control the flows (suppliers) in scope to ensure the adherence to standard processes.
•    Define standard daily/weekly routines for PPIC planners.
•    Support the development of the related standards and tools (Alerts, RSO, ASN, …),
•    Ensure the check of supplier’s capacities (forecast horizont) with sourcing, highlight, if any deviation and propose potentials alternatives.
•    Manage inventory levels to achieve forecasted turn rates and ensure uninterrupted production
•    Regularly control inventory level of own supplier portfolio and drive actions to achieve Optimal inventory level.
•    Regularly review Safety stock set up after analyzing changes in Lead time/ Minimum order quantity, On time delivery performance and Forecast accuracy.
•    Ensure the update of any supplier management documentation (MBO, Part Logistic data sheet, any specific agreements regarding packaging and safety stock requirement).
•    Contribution to roadmap for productivity portfolio and supplier’s management.

Cost management, cost control, cost improvement
•    Ensure adherence to team/department budget (hours/ workload)
•    Control of team adherence to Business Plans (SIOP) through weekly/monthly reporting,
•    Propose to manager continuous improvement targets to team organization.

Team Management, Training & Communication
•    Anticipate resources needs and actively participate to recruitments in relation with her/his manager and HR
•    Supervising and motivating a team of workers, reviewing their performance
•    Manage the skills of the team, propose, and define the training plans in relation with his/her manager and HR,
•    Select, manage & develop her/his direct reports
•    Resolve personnel grievances
•    Manage monthly attendance for team in approved system 
•    Conduct the annual assessments of the team members.
 

Job Requirement

•    Bachelor/Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, economics, engineering, or equivalent.
•    Minimum of 5 years of logistics analysis or planning experience in a manufacturing or procurement environment.
•    Proven experience with leadership of a small team 
•    Ability to plan, think ahead, and prepare action plans to achieve results.
•    Creative problem-solving skills and strong analytical abilities. 
•    Negotiation and communication skills, influencing skills.
•    Strong analytical skills, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
•    ERP knowledge, preferably Oracle.
•    Fluent written and spoken English, another European language would be a benefit.
•    Geographic flexibility within Europe is an advantage.
