Business Unit Supply Chain Lead Sr.

Job Information

As a Business Unit Supply Chain Lead Sr. your objective is to oversee salaried employees assigned to manage inventory levels/ accuracy, replenishment signals, parts presentation, and delivery processes in alignment with the overall plant strategy within their specific business unit. In addition, you will establish the standard processes and procedures for maintaining inventory control and ensure training of employees on the use of the tools developed.

This position is offered at the following Doosan Bobcat North America locations: West Fargo, ND; Minneapolis (metro area), MN; Statesville, NC; Johnson Creek, WI; Bismarck, ND; Gwinner, ND.

Role & Responsibility

Process Improvements
•    Continuous process improvements for inventory control. Coordinate stakeholders regarding implementing ECN’s implementation through end-of-life cycle. (i.e., managing serial breaks, setting up new bins and locations, disposal of old parts, right sized packaging, delivery method and improvement).  
•    Improving receiving and shipping functions
•    Champion material flow and material pull systems internally and externally.

Manage Inventory Control
•    Responsible for oversight of team activities to ensure standard procedures are implemented and followed. Ensure proper signaling and delivery of materials to optimize material movement. Assure external demands are met by order dates. Notify stakeholders of potential risks with achieving production schedule.
Input and Maintain Plan for Every Part 
•    Manage updating and maintenance of the PFEP. Maintain a scorecard for area of responsibility.  

Monitor and Coordinate Parts/Inventory  
•    Oversee point of contact for parts related outage for their BU(s). Manage/audit the routes designed to assure schedules are met. Oversee product orders from offsite storage locations. Oversight of maintaining and monitoring inventory within established min/max level. Count, tag and catalog items deemed obsolete, send to PCA for consolidation and disposition.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience allowed.
• In-depth knowledge of inventory/materials management is required.
• 7+ years of applicable experience. 
• MES or ERP System knowledge (i.e., Apriso, Oracle, SAP, etc.) required.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication & presentation skills. (Verbal and written)
• Project management skills; experience is a plus.
• Travel expected: <20%
