Job Information

Manage the Company's federal and state tax provision, cash tax forecast, and income tax compliance. Prepare income tax memoranda to document the Company's tax positions. Monitor tax law changes and support tax department leadership in identifying tax savings opportunities. Implement automation solutions to reduce manual processes. Provide supervision, training and career development guidance to tax analysts.

Role & Responsibility

Tax Accounting

  • Supervise calculation and review of federal and state tax provision, tax entry, deferred inventory schedule, uncertain tax positions, valuation allowances, tax footnote, and tax accounts roll forward schedules. 
  • Supervise preparation and review of cash tax forecast calculation.
  • Respond to the internal finance team and external auditor's requests to support the quarterly and annual audit reviews.
  • Monitor tax department SOX control process and review completeness of supporting documentation.

Tax Compliance

  • Supervise the data collection for tax compliance. Work with Tax Analysts to perform detailed analysis to ensure data completeness and accuracy.  Supervise preparation and review of income tax work papers and returns.
  • Supervise and review calculation of estimated tax payments.
  • Manage income tax audits and review responses to tax notices.
  • Regularly review the Company's current tax accounting methods and tax-sensitive accounts.
  • Monitor tax law changes. Recommend tax-saving strategies to reduce the Company's overall effective tax rate. Prepar scenario analysis to assist management in business decisions.
  • Monitor company intercompany transactions to ensure US withholding tax is adequately calculated and remitted.
  • Supervise and review E&P calculation to support the Company’s distribution plan.
  • Supervise and review R&D credit documentation and calculation.

Staff Management

  • Manage and develop Tax Analysts through coaching, training, and mentoring.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; Master’s Degree in Taxation preferred.
  • CPA preferred.
  • 5-8+ years’ corporate federal and state income tax experience.
  • Strong knowledge in federal and state income tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of general financial accounting principles.
  • SAP ERP system experience preferred.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency with strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and cross-functional teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Travel: 10%.

Pay Transparency:  Minimum Pay: $117,022.00 - Maximum Pay: $175,533.00
