Job Information

As a Cost Analyst, you will ensure that accurate costs are maintained for the use in inventory valuation for products manufactured at the Johnson Creek, WI production facility.  You will provide financial analysis relative to productivity improvements, factory spending, manufacturing variances, standard costs and inventory management. This position will also assist in planning and creation of the yearly standards update process.

Role & Responsibility

Financial Statements and Asset Protection

  • Provide financial analysis relative to productivity improvements, factory spending, manufacturing variances, standard costs and inventory management.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of the annual physical inventory
  • Monthly reconciliation of the standard cost set to the current cost set (Bill of Materials review).
  • Analyze ECN's for impact on product costs, margins, and plant efficiencies.
  • Assist in the planning and creation of the yearly standards update process. 
  • Assist in the monthly closing process including journal entry preparation and balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Provide financial analysis related to Obsolescence.  Prepare monthly reserves and roll-forward files for obsolete parts.
  • Effectively work with internal and external auditors.
  • Actively participate on cross-functional teams.
     

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; or Business with an Accounting or Finance minor.
  • 2+ years’ experience in financial or cost accounting preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting, cycle counting, physical inventory and cost accounting.
  • Oracle experience is a plus.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with standard costing method preferred.
  • Microsoft Office Suite competency, including strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent cross-functional teamwork skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Travel: <10%.
