Job Information

Virtually evaluate designs of Company components, systems, and products to predict design performance using the latest in engineering simulation tools.

Provide simulation results interpretation and communication and make recommendations for design improvement.

Role & Responsibility

Virtually evaluate design performance

  • Create, modify, analyze, and maintain the engineering simulation models of assigned projects. Influence engineering decision-making by providing reliable fluid, structural, or other analysis insights.
  • Recommend and evaluate design solutions that improve cost, manufacturability, quality, and performance.
  • Execute product verification plan by implementing current CFD, FEA or other simulation best practices.
  • Use problem solving skills as well as internal and external resources to troubleshoot simulation models


Additional Responsibilities

  • Define and guide tests to verify simulation solutions.
  • Correlate simulation results with test data and make refinements as necessary.
  • Develop CAE(Computer Aided Engineering) skills and knowledge of company systems.
  • Work concurrently with several design and test teams across multiple product groups
  • and sites.
  • Communicate simulation status and results to supervisor, design teams, and management.
  • Collaborate with design teams to define component/system requirements and develop innovative·     
  • Collaborate with design teams to define component/system requirements and develop innovative design solutions to meet those requirements.
  • May supervise and assist in the training and development of co-ops and student development  interns.  

Job Requirement

  • Strong applied mechanical and engineering skills and a willingness to use them.
  • Experience with engineering simulation software, preferred.
  • Experience with test and validation methods, preferred.
  • Understanding of the theory and design of Company products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Competency with MS Office Suite. Advanced computer skills.
  • Engineering-Agriculture - Bachelors Degree
  • Engineering-General - Bachelors Degree
  • Engineering-Mechanical - Bachelors Degree
  • 0>2 years experience
  • <10% travel
