Job Information

The Manufacturing Engineer or Specialist is responsible for supporting the deployment of a lean-based production system throughout NA (North America) sites.  This is carried out through site assessments and improvement roadmaps that improve and stabilize the site KPIs long-term. This individual supports resources and executes improvements throughout the site, region, and globe to ensure that the production system is effectively deployed to drive results in site and organizational KPIs.     
This position is aligned with the needs of the business to address the most important issues with the highest impact to the organization. 

This role is hybrid eligible. We welcome candidates that are interested in being onsite 2-3 days per week in our  Gwinner facility, while working the remaining days one of our other office locations.

Role & Responsibility


Production System Deployment

  • Support production system assessments in NA 
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert (SME) for lean-based production system items or modules
  • Project, Kaizen, and task execution aligned to lean-based production system improvement plans 

Site KPI Support

  • Project and Kaizen launch and execution to improve site KPIs
  • Utilize DMAIC, Kaizen, or other problem-solving methodologies to manage execution work 
  • Analysis of time, motion, and methods, to reduce waste and improve site safety/quality/delivery/cost metrics

Standards and Training

  • Lean-based production system training delivery
  • Identify and implement improvements to existing training and tools

Job Requirement

  • Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Certificate Preferred: Six Sigma Green or equivalent (Lean-based)
  • Travel Required: <10%
  • Experience Required: 0-5 Years
  • Global Breadth: North America
  • Production system understanding and/or experience
  • Experience in developing standards (quality, engineering, lean, or similar)
  • Experience in Lean and Six Sigma project implementation
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and listening skills
  • Strong performer; highly driven
  • Ability to make sound, timely decisions
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills and priority focus
  • Strong demonstrated ability to influence and achieve results
  • Strong process orientation to develop solutions to complex problems
  • Demonstrated ability to execute in a timely manner and achieve results
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects and demands
  • Prior experience with manufacturing processes
