Job Information

As a Test Engineer, you will work in a cross functional team environment with a hands-on Engineering role. Devise, set up, and execute laboratory and field tests on Bobcat equipment, machine systems, and components. Translate technical work tasks into physical test measurements which drive engineering decisions. 

Role & Responsibility

  • Learn existing products and processes and adhere to established procedures
  • Use basic planning tools to complete assigned tasks per defined prioritization and timelines
  • Complete assigned tasks or activities following established procedures
  • Recognize and resolve roadblocks using problem-solving methods and assistance from peers and mentors
  • Effectively communicate using proper forms of communication
  • Network effectively with peers and key cross-functional team members within the organization
  • Make decisions for assigned tasks following guidelines and best practices
  • Apply understanding of engineering fundamentals to complete assigned tasks
  • Perform basic engineering analysis and interpret results under guidance

Test Specific Requirements and Duties:

  • Train with current personnel and industry experts in the field of testing, data acquisition, and data analysis.
  • Correctly size, select, and use measurement transducers and data acquisition equipment.
  • Train to become a proficient operator of Bobcat equipment.
  • Re-work test machines and install test instrumentation for customized testing.
  • Complete technical writing for test documentation and test results communication.
  • Interpret and apply schematics, test standards, and other technical information to facilitate testing.
  • Conduct laboratory endurance testing on components.
  • Support performance testing and troubleshooting of Bobcat machine systems.
  • Execute full machine field testing of Bobcat equipment.
  • Complete product specifications and compliance testing per industry standards.
  • Follow and promote safe workplace best practices during all work activities and equipment operation.
  • Work in a team environment with shared equipment, resources, and priorities.
  • Support execution of testing with external test labs.

Job Requirement

General Experience required:

  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Agricultural, Mechanical or equivalent Engineering degree.
  • Experience Required: None
  • Travel Required: <10%
  • Basic mechanic and metal fabrication skills are required.
