In this newly created role, your remit will include;


•    Ensure the Health and Standards of the project are consistently met
•    Play a key role in the site integrated H&S team
•    Give competent advice across a multi-functional / discipline project
•    Carry out all duties with full regard to all policies, plans and procedures 
•    Build strong HSE relationships with Contractors
•    Monitor the working practices of employees and contractors regarding health and safety, environment and welfare
•    Carry out HSE inspections across the site in line with the MEH Assurance Schedule 
•    Undertake such additional tasks as are reasonably commensurate with the level of the post
•    Share best practices and lessons learnt from their area of responsibility to allow for continuous improvement
•    Proactively engage with site Safety Representatives
•    Conduct audits of MEH site activities and sub-contractor operations.  
•    Record the findings of audit reports and inspections in line with the HSSE Management system requirements and the Assurance Schedule
•    Intervene when unsafe practices are observed, offer solutions to observations made.
•    Observe and record ‘At Risk’ & ‘Reduce Risk’ behaviours


 Applications are eagerly sought from candidates with an investigative mind and keen eye for detail who;


•    Have a Strong working knowledge of Health and Safety regulations 
•    Are NEBOSH qualified - general certificate/NEBOSH construction certificate or equivalent. 
•    Are IOSH or similar members.
•    Have a Strong construction or engineering background, used to working in a multi-disciplined safety critical environment . 
•    Have Excellent written and spoken communication skills, able to communicate at all levels. 
•    IT literate – familiar with Microsoft packages.
