As part of a Multi-Billion £ Infrastructure Programme we have created a number of Strategic roles for experienced Construction, Project and Programme Managers.
Taking these complex projects from Pre Construction/Development through Execution to Delivery and Handover, remit of these newly created roles will include
Pre Construction
• Develop and Manage Construction processes, governance and delivery/execution strategies, in line with overarching Programme Requirements
• Work with Procurement and JV Partners to establish a cohesive and robust Supply Chain that can successfully deliver Solutions, Services, Capability Footprint and Materials required.
• Ensure the development and of Safety and Quality processes and governance in line with all Customer, Programme and Legislative requirements
• Lead and optimise scope definition including all interfaces with end Customer and all JV/Consortium partners/internal teams, to help define scope, programme and change control.
• Develop audit and review processes for construction and site activities to ensure compliance with specification, schedule and legal obligations.
Project Delivery
• Manage all designated construction operations ensuring all works are carried out in a safe manner free of risk to all.
• Project Manage all construction activities involving subcontractors, ensuring they are managed and coordinated to achieve the required level of productivity and quality.
• Lead the management of construction teams and subcontractors to fullfill the technical requirements for the works carried out under contract.
• Ensure that any industrial relation problems are managed and resolved within company procedure.
• Ensure that all relevant information regarding site activities is fed to the site management team and subcontractors, including corrective actions to fulfill contractual requirements and achieve appropriate financial returns.
• Coordinate and Manage resolution of technical queries and the development of construction engineering solutions, ensuring all Change Requests are diligently managed through the correct processes.
• Act as an enabler to ensure the motivation, coaching, training and development of all team members.
We are eager to hear from candidates with a strong Construction Management background gained within major industries such as Infrastructure, Utilities, Power Generation or Defence.
Exposure to Collaborative Joint Ventures and NEC Framework agreements would be beneficial
