We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Cost Engineer who will be responsible for providing the Nuclear business line and projects with complete and accurate cost control data on a regular basis. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, this role is based in our North East office and may involve travel to various sites throughout the UK.

 

This role will work with a portfolio of projects and will require multiple interfaces that will be managed across the different work packages. The Senior Cost Engineer will be responsible for the following: 


-    maintenance of complete and accurate reporting, on a routine basis, of cost control data on a specific project, 
-    maintaining historical records to support and assist in the provision of budgetary data for the preparation of new project proposals 
-    Ensuring that cost control deliverables are to the standard required to support the business requirements, and seamlessly interface with all other facets of Doosan Babcock.

 

You will hold a degree in either a related engineering, contract, quantity surveying or financial administration management subject, you will also have extensive experience in an engineering and/or construction company environment dealing with EPC type projects involving the financial, cost and contract control of engineering design, procurement of materials, equipment and services, manufacture, delivery and site implementation and construction. This experience alongside a pro-active and communicative nature, and using your ability to see the bigger picture and drill down to the finer detail, and your time spent working on Change Control Programmes and experience of using Oracle products makes you the ideal candidate for this role.
