In this position, you will impact the business by taking a decision-driven data analytics approach towards answering high value questions throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data and continual learning, and the ability to approach complex problems with creativity and resourcefulness. Role & Responsibility
Strategic Decision-making
• Surface actionable insights from multiple sources to guide strategic initiatives and long-range planning.
• Advise senior management on business implications and recommend changes to strategy or operations.
• Quickly adapt to unfamiliar business contexts and assess untapped analytical potential.
• Collaborate with business functions to identify and prioritize opportunities for performance optimization.
Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics
• Leverage advanced analytics and create data models to solve complex business problems.
• Create foundational datasets which can be easily leveraged for multiple business opportunities.
• Build reports and dashboards to help the organization understand progress and trends of key strategic initiatives and projects.
• Develop processes to ensure quality, reproducibility, and accessibility for critical datasets.
• Perform sound ad-hoc analysis to support rapidly changing business environments.
Organizational Adoption & Engagement
• Engage with the organization and promote adoption, and continual improvement of solutions.
• Contribute to the creation of and enhancement to existing analytics platforms.
• Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships to support new and on-going initiatives.
• Promote BI and advanced analytics best practices throughout the organization.
Job Requirement
- Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Experience required: 2-5 years for level I; 5-10 years for level II.
- Programming and scripting background is preferred, such as Python or R.
- Relational data management and reporting tools, such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Demonstrated ability to persuade, drive change, and challenge the status quo.
- Excellent data wrangling capabilities.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, strategic documentation, and storytelling data & findings in presentations.
- Experience developing & validating machine learning and statistical forecasting models or predictive models, including GLM, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting and Neural Networks.
- Excellent strategic thinking, business acumen, and execution competencies.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with short deadlines.
- Travel Required: < 20%.
