Job Information

Supervised by the Associate General Counsel and reporting to the General Counsel, responsible for delivery of legal advice and services concerning legal rights, obligations, and privileges of corporations. Includes but is not limited to contracts, litigation management, employment law and the handling of Intellectual Property (IP) and patent matters.

Role & Responsibility

• Work with legal staff, senior leadership, government agencies and outside counsel to collaborate and negotiate optimal resolution to a wide spectrum of cases and issues impacting the business.
• Ability and interest in considering, developing, and introducing sound new efficient and cost-effective processes to improve both legal and company processes and procedures which are in full legal compliance.
• Highly effective, clear, concise, and ethical   communications in all forms at all levels, both internal and external.

Education and Experience

Education

• JD degree with 3-5 years of experience

Experience

• Familiarity with business and labor related legislation, including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley, FASB and IP/Patent issues.
• Collaboration Skills and Problem Solving & Analysis.
• 2+ years of experience in law firm environment.
• Experience in matters of corporate governance and board of directors.
• Experience working with other attorneys and support staff.
• Experience in determining and recommending/directing strategy and managing Intellectual Property matters/cases.
