The Senior Sourcing Manager position will provide essential leadership in developing and implementing comprehensive sourcing strategies to bring new products to the market as well as providing expertise to cost out programs focused around Electrolyzers and Stationary Fuel Cell products. This role will balance strategic and tactical projects to ensure reliable and robust delivery of scalable industrial strategies with optimized total cost of ownership within the defined products. The scope includes managing the sourcing cycle, identifying, selecting, and developing suppliers for new products as well as optimization of established products. Early engagement with internal and external partners to align and deliver on HyAxioms product strategies is critical to success.

Demonstrated ability to successfully navigate through ambiguities/difficult obstacles utilizing facts & data, evaluation of alternatives, open-mindedness, thought-through strategy, and superior communications to lead cross-functional engagements.

Role & Responsibility

  • Sourcing subject matter expert for new product introduction (NPI) and cost out programs.
  • Partner with stakeholders and lead collaboration with internal teams to deliver robust supply chain strategies that address customer needs, optimizes total cost of ownership (TCO), delivers speed of execution, and manages emerging risks as part of the product development process.
  • Provide sourcing expertise to optimally establish/align commercial and technical requirements, scope and criteria to support new and existing product requirements.
  • Drive cost out and negotiate competitive pricing while keeping in mind the total cost of ownership including product cost, CapEx, logistics, inventory, cost of quality, field installation, and O&M costs.
  • Drive early and ongoing supplier engagement strategies to ensure our suppliers are proactively providing input into new product designs and future product roadmaps. Ensure design for manufacturability is incorporated in new product development in partnership with suppliers/engineering/manufacturing and quality.

Job Requirement - Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in business, supply chain/operations, or engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience developing sourcing strategies/ commodity strategies to support new product introduction / product cost out programs /product management.
  • Experience in product or process definition, having taken a module or system from concept stage into mass production is a plus.
  • Experience building relationships with engineering, product management, and other cross-functional partners to drive discussions around optimization of technical specifications, and features vs. value trade-offs with demonstrated supplier relationship management experience.
  • Proven project management experience, with working knowledge of continuous improvement principles and practices, ensuring ability to support, develop and motivate others.

  • Proficient with MS Office software, being analytical and diligent in abilities.
