Role & Responsibility

 

Provide electrical engineering support for the development, design, and testing of electrical components, equipment, systems and networks for the company's fuel cell systems. Design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products and systems in line with HyAxiom's commercial and industrial business objectives, including innovating new ways to use electrical power to develop and improve the company's fuel cell products. Develop and maintain the electrical architecture and execution of electrical design and system integration activities underlying HyAxiom's proprietary technologies in the fuel cell development and manufacturing space. Define and determine electrical hardware selection in areas of analog and digital electrical systems. Provide electrical engineering subject matter expertise and support to specialized electrical or multi-disciplinary teams within the company, including collaborating with equipment designers and hardware engineers engaged in the design, development, and utilization of electrical components and systems for fuel cell products.  Apply in-depth technical understanding of the electrical discipline to deliver electrical support and development requirements in a manufacturing environment. Applies root cause techniques to assure optimal problem resolution. Conduct technical and complex electrical engineering tasks, including but not limited to electrical schematic design of fuel cell; electrical system integration for power conversion and product safety systems; electrical system certification testing; retrofits; OFEMA, PFEMA and other functional requirements; modeling of electrical systems within the fuel cell; and selecting electrical components based on analyzing data sheets.

Job Requirement

 

Minimum Education & Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or related field plus 3 years experience in an engineering or related role.

 

 

Minimum Skills Required: Must have 3 years experience with: measuring voltage and current; high voltage wiring; analyzing fuel cell component failures and bench testing; troubleshooting and root cause analysis fuel cell outages; P&ID development; HMI; multimeters; voltmeters; thermocouple readers; and 4-20mA loop calibrators.
