Strategic partnership and leverage of the supply base to meet the company’s procurement requirements in terms of cost, quality and delivery. Principle focus on the Supply Chain disciplines of Commodity Management and Purchasing with particular emphasis on and attention to speed, efficiency and resource use to increase the company’s overall revenue and provide increased customer service reliability. Responsible for Supply Chain budget, staffing and operational performance.

Role & Responsibility

  • Oversight and responsibility for entire SCM organization, including systems, projects, programs and SCM support across and within functional areas.
  • Accountable for budgets, staffing and business operational results.
  • Time is a critical aspect of the Supply Chain. Significant focus must be exerted to drive toward optimal on- time receipt and expeditious and accurate control of all incoming materials.
  • Minimize shortages with focus on process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Manage supplier relationships to maximize supplier quality of service and products.
  • Manage transition Standard Work from sourcing changes, including dual-source and new source development.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify vulnerabilities and close operational gaps.
  • Make recommendations to improve quality, productivity and operations efficiencies.
  • Encourage and build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.

Job Requirement

  • BA/BS degree with 10+ years of experience
  • MA/MS degree with 7+ years of experience
  • Certifications such as CPSM, CPIM and CSCP, and APICS a plus

  • Create supply chain management strategies that increase efficiency and speed at reduced costs.
  • Focus on cost management, and business growth in all interactions and directives.
  • Assure development of Standard Work
  • Leadership and supervision of direct reports who are responsible for leadership of their respective groups within SCM
  • Leadership participation on one or more senior leadership teams
  • Continuous improvement focus, training and mindset
  • Coordinate and lead the logistics of all aspects of the supply chain.
  • Make recommendations to improve quality, productivity, professionalism and efficiency
  • Manage staff to elevate engagement, employee satisfaction and career development.


  • Train and mentor SCM staff.
  • Provide operational direction and support to ensure maximum productivity
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to identify, address and resolve supply chain concerns, delays, inefficiencies and customer/quality crises.
  • Make recommendations to leadership team to improve total cost, supplier risk, quality, productivity and efficiency, which go directly to the company’s bottom line
  • Strong negotiations skills to achieve optimal supply chain agreements and contracts, and the ability to impart those abilities and skills to the SCM staff
  • SCM involves working across many cultures, and cultural sensitivities, appreciation and understanding in terms of communications and presentations is essential across all levels of internal and external organizations.
  • Ability to flex working hours to suit the timing of international business communications across the spectrum of differing time zones around the world is required.
