The pricing Analyst will play a pivotal role in optimizing pricing strategies to maximize profitability and drive business growth. The primary responsibilities will involve analyzing market trends, conducting competitor analysis, and leveraging data-driven insights to develop effective pricing models and strategies - ultimately building a repeatable pricing process for Bobcat products in EMEA. Should possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional attention to detail, the ability to digest financial metrics, and strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with other business functions.
Role & Responsibility
• Recommend price changes on existing products, and prices of new product launches based on historical data, forecasting models, market share goals, and competitor forces.
• Optimize pricing strategies to maximize profitability and drive business growth.
• Develop effective pricing models and strategies by analyzing market trends, conducting competitor analysis, and leveraging data-driven insights.
• Regularly track dealer pricing and end-customer pricing of competitive products, analyzing the changes & implications.
• Analyze complex data sets, draw meaningful insights, and translate them into actionable recommendations.
• Effectively present and communicate complex pricing concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Digest and interpret financial metrics such as revenue, profit margins, cost of goods sold, and return on investment.
• Analyze quote data for dealer margins and street prices on Bobcat models.
• Develop reporting templates & a repeatable process for establishing pricing of products in the region
• Lead the Pricing Council, call the meetings, present pricing proposals, delegate action items, and facilitate the meetings.
• Coordinate the implementation of any price changes with all relevant stakeholders, ensuring all systems are in place & price changes are effectively communicated to internal & dealer audiences
Job Requirement
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: > 3 years
• Proven experience as a Pricing Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
• Travel: <10%
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions, macros, and data manipulation.
• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining Power BI dashboard a plus.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets, draw meaningful insights, and translate them into actionable recommendations.
• Strong understanding of pricing strategies, concepts, and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and pricing optimization techniques is preferred.
• Experience in the retail, e-commerce, or manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
