We are looking for Applied Data Scientist to join our team at Bobcat.
This Project Management role focuses on building relationships with stakeholders, identifying business opportunities for growth and cost-saving, and promoting the adoption of innovative solutions. It also champions the use of automation tools and advanced technologies to streamline tasks and improve process scalability. The purpose of this role is to leverage GenAI and machine learning to maximize financial impact, automate decisions, and enhance efficiency. It involves collaborating with academic and industry partners, utilizing advanced analytics to solve business problems, and generating insights from data to drive strategic decisions.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Excels at Stakeholder Management: You can build and maintain strong relationships with key leaders across the organization (including executives and department heads).
- Drives Business Growth: You proactively identify and pursue business opportunities focused on topline growth, revenue generation, and cost-saving projects.
- Champions Innovation and Adoption: You actively promote the adoption and continual improvement of solutions and are a champion for automation tools and innovative technologies.
- Is Process and Efficiency-Oriented: You strive to streamline repetitive tasks, reduce manual effort, and leverage advanced processes to maximize financial impact and improve operational efficiency and scalability.
- Understands and Applies Advanced Tech: You can leverage GenAI and ML models to automate decision-making and solve complex business problems.
- Is Data-Driven and Analytical: You utilize statistical techniques and algorithms, can identify and analyze both structured and unstructured data sources, and generate key insights that drive strategic decisions.
- Collaborates Externally: You are willing to collaborate with academic institutions, industry partners, and research communities to stay at the forefront of innovation in data science.
What sets you apart:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
- 5-7 years of related work experience.
- Programming and scripting background, such as Python.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects that challenge the status quo.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks with short deadlines.
- Proficiency in Strategic Documentation and Data Storytelling.
