Job Information

The Product Manager will be responsible for the management of the respective product portfolio they are responsible for, and for identifying growth opportunity outside the current range.

He/she will follow the NPD (New Product Development) process related to the development of new products/features, assuring the “Voice of Customer” and competitive analysis will be driving future product offering, while meeting BU’s goals and meeting/exceeding customers’ expectations.

The product manager will be also responsible of the long term product strategy which he will carefully share and move forward with the management teams. The product manager will also have a possibility to propose solutions to cut product cost or improve manufacturing footprints.

 

Market share, gross margin, revenue growth, together with the respect of the strategic plans will be the key elements determinating the business success. For this he will carefully follow up the forecast of the industry and market share for each region as well as the profit and loss of his category.

He will be responsible of implementation of the promotional marketing actions (structural campaigns) that he will put in place for the different countries and also drive the coordination of the marketing launch material (technical information, internet, press, product presentations, brochures & leaflets, trainings) of each new product. The product manager will also have the possibility to propose business initiatives to improve the BU financials.

The Product manager will be the reference point for the current and future range of products, communicating internally and with distribution all the related information.

Role & Responsibility

Voice of Customer

Lead the definition of the new product offerings following the VOC (Voice of the Customer) process. Be the link between the customer and the enginering department. Research the market needs and develop the product offer that meets customer requirements in coordination with the engineering department.

 

Product Development:

Lead the new product development via the NPD (New Product Development) process in coordination with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Sourcing and Service departments; ensure sucessful launches on time, on scope, on cost.

 

P&L

Be responsible for the “seed to flower” pricing in order to support the achievement of the Revenue, EBIT and market share objectives. Follow up of the P&L of the product category

 

Strategy:

Define, in coordination with the Sales team, the overall strategy for the product (4 Ps: Product, Pricing, Promotion and Placement). Be an active part of the AOPand LRP processes where the medium and long term strategies are decided.Forecast the Industry and MS for each of his product segments.

 

Product knowledge

Ensure full understanding of product, competition, customer segments and pricing. Be the reference for the Sales team for the current product portfolio. Be the center of knowledge for the product and collaborate with the training department to deliver the required product information.

 

Marketing

In coordination with the Marketing Communication department, drive all the necessary activities to ensure a successful and ‘on time’ product launch (technical information, internet, press, product presentations, brochures & leaflets, trainings) of each new product as well as the promotional activities (structural campaigns). The product manager will also have the possibility to propose business initiatives to improve the BU financials

 

Job Requirement
