Job Information
Position Summary
- Develop, plan, conduct and supervise test assignments involving routine projects or new projects.
- Coordinate and direct test engineers, and technicians assigned to the projects.
- Develop procedures and methods and utilize equipment and staff to carry out test requests and evaluations required for product engineering functions.
- Advise test department on state of the art equipment and procedures and apply cutting edge technology.
- This position requires minimum supervision and the ability to make decisions.
Role & Responsibility
Test Procedure Development and Management
- Must have demonstrated ability to meet project target deadlines.
- Prepare development plan of test personnel.
- Demonstrate innovative skills to drive improvements.
- Keep abreast of the latest technology in the field of test and evaluation and recommend use of the same, which would benefit product engineering objective.
- Develop and review/update test procedures in accordance with the product development requirements.
- Coordinate outside laboratory tests or extend the divisional test capabilities to meet established product design schedules.
- Promote and demand adherence to Company safety policies and practices.
Human Resources
- Hire, supervise and motivate a team, reviewing their performance, identifying training needs
Safety
- Participate on safety rules settings Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
Budgeting:
- Department budget creation Cost Management Fiscal responsibility
Job Requirement
- Education: Bachelors Degree, Engineering. Allow equivalent
- Experience: 5-7 years
- Prerequisite Training Course: Ability communicate with partners in other locations (US, France, Korea).
- Travel Standard: 10%
- Experience of management in a testing of machines and data processing (e.g. automotive industry, aircraft industry or earth moving machinery area is the best)
- Engineering degree or relevant documented skill and practice
- Minimum Experience Necessary: 7 years
- Good understanding of the theory and design of the Company’s products.
- Proven skills and experience with test and validation methods.
- Good written and verbal communication (Czech and English
- Strong applied mechanical skills and a willingness to use them
- Ability to demonstrate leadership and ensure compliance to safety and regulatory rules.
- A willingness and ability to mentor less experience staff members.
- An ability to help lead change, with the initiative to challenge existing processes and look for ways to improve productivity and effectiveness of test functions.
