Design Engineer - Electric

Job Information

Position Summary:  

Responsible for developing and managing the engineered designs of assigned products, systems, or components as well as support of its prototyping in a local workshop and then processing the design to serial production phase.

Role & Responsibility

Design

3D CAD modelling
2D detailed Bobcat internal designed components drawings
Managing of the 2D drawings and 3D models in PLM system (Windchill)
Managing the engineering prototype build requests including the parts purchase orders
Supplier components design integration
Share his work with engineering peers

Function Specific

Electric system basic analysis and calculation for components dimensioning
Creation of the electric scheme
Electric system troubleshooting & diagnostics

Validation

Involved in prototype assembly phase to check and update design when necessary
Involved in Supplier technical discussions

Support

Support by providing expertise inside and outside engineering (other product design functions, marketing, aftermarket, manufacturing, quality, production)
Provide support for test proving ground, laboratory testing

Innovation

Proposal to improve quality of engineering team deliverables
Develop tools and processes to improve risk management, machine quality and cost

Job Requirement

Education & Qualification: 

• Engineering of Electrics and Electronic or equivalent
• Minimum Experience:  also for graduates, working experience advantage

Knowledge& Skill:

• Engineer degree, Regulation/certification NV 194/2022, §6 and higher is mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of engineering practices and standards
• Basic knowledge of the work with wiring and harness design software (Capital Essentials preferred)
• CAD skills (Creo preferred)
• Basic knowledge of the work with PLM systems (Windchill preferred)
• Working knowledge of systems – specifically bills of material structure and organization of models and options
• Basic knowledge of the ISO 7000
• Very good IT skills (CAD, CAE, MS Office, …)
• Experience in an industrial environment
• English language
• Communication and teamwork skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
