Job Information

The District Manager (DM) serves as a day-to-day liaison between the Doosan Bobcat factories for the assigned product line and dealer(s) in the assigned territory for a multitude of sales, service and business issues. 

 

The District Manager works 1) with the dealers to improve market coverage to maximize business opportunities in the assigned territory; 2) with factories and other functional areas to insure that dealers receive high quality products and adequate support; 3) with end users to insure they receive adequate support from dealer(s), and 4) with other DMs in the region to lead and coordinate communications that allows DM to be informed of product changes and improvements and provide feedback to the factories, identify new applications and keep abreast of competitive activity.

Dealers & Factory relation management

 

  • The DM will pursue the development of each dealer in all areas of the business, including – but not limited to – inventory management, market share improvement, promotion of sales specialist and branch location additions, as well as new & used sales, rental, parts, merchandising, service and customer relationship issues.

 

  • The DM will also analyze territory market opportunity issues providing recommendations to each dealer and working with Doosan Bobcat and Asia-Latin America management to propose Marketing Plans for one or various dealers as needed.

 

  • The DM will develop annual district and individual dealer action plans and then manage those plans during the course of the year. Once a year DM must assess dealer performance and propose changes to dealer network as needed.

 

  • The DM may become involved in product disputes with the aim of satisfying the customer whenever possible.

 

  • The DM serves as a Voice of the Customer for factories and product issues.

 

  • The DM will use face-to-face, telephone, electronic and written means to provide excellent communication with assigned dealer personnel.  The DM will maintain records and provide reports as required.

Job Requirement

Education &
Qualification

Certificate (license)

Four-year college / university bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering.

 

Knowledge & Skill

General

Experience as a business manager with ability to read and interpret financial statements and business plans is preferred. 

Demonstrated personal computer skills are essential. (Word, Excel, Power Point) 

Some machine operation, mechanical work and moderate lifting may be required from time to time.

Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form to a variety of audiences, in both English and Spanish.

Must be willing to travel extensively to attend trade shows, product schools, dealer open houses.  Job often requires 50+ hour work weeks. Travel and work during weekends may be required.

Must possess valid driver’s license, valid passport and no limitations to obtain a tourist/business visa to enter the US & EU

Experience

5 to 10 years of experience in purchasing, selling and/or servicing of motorized mobile equipment for construction, agricultural or industrial applications or major capital goods sold through distribution.
