Design Engineer Sustaining

Job Information

Investigating engineering designs and analyzing complaints at production/customers sides to improve quality of existing products and provide engineering and technical support for manufacturing.

Role & Responsibility

• Leading production/customer issue root cause engineering investigation, development of solutions and creating validation plans and support/monitor process of improvements implementation (follow 8D process)
• Make feasibility studies for product changes as directed
• Create, modify, analyze of 3D models and drawings, and maintain the engineering design of assigned product systems and components
• Validate the product and/or sub system design by standard testing process
• Creating presentation for formal design review and actively participate on reviews
• Ensure design and process improvements will be applicable based on manufacturing capability and requirements

Job Requirement

Education Required: Mechanical engineering Master degree or equivalent / relevant experience
Experience Required:  > 3 years
Travel Required:  < 5%

• Positive mindset & Proactive approach to deliver solution in a timely manner in line with initial requirements (ability to work within cost constraints and to deadlines)
• Be able to manage multiple projects and tasks
• Experiences with production processes for sheet metal and metal parts (laser-cutting, machining, welding, casting, painting, assembly) and industrial production
• General knowledge of mechanical principles, thermodynamics and hydraulics, electricity and materials
• In depth knowledge of reading and creating drawings/documentation (GD&T)
• Excellent IT skills (CAD, PLM, CAE, MS Office, …)
• English and Czech (communicative level)
