Dealer Profitability Manager - HO Based EU

Job Information

The Dealer Profitability Manager is responsible for leading activities to improve dealership top and bottom line in a sustainable way, including ensuring dealers have adequate equity and collateral to maintain floor plan lines of credit sufficient to meet inventory stocking levels, manage a dealer rental fleet and hit retail targets.
He/she contributes to new dealer appointment process through assesments of the dealer candidates business plans viability.
 

Role & Responsibility

Dealer Consulting & Education
Work with dealer principals to identify profitability improvement areas, then put actions in place to address and follow-up.
Set up a dealer reporting process (for key partners), develop and lead specific trainings for the dealer principals and GMs, hold regular business reviews with key strategic dealers to take corrective actions when applicable.

KPI: 
•    Number of dealers working with clear objectives and metrics.

•    Number of dealers that report their KPI’s with decent level of accuracy and frequency .

•    Percent of dealer network in strong financial condition

New Dealer Appointments     
Contribute to the DBR process by assessing dealer candidate business plans and recommend financial prerequisites for appointment.

Assist ad hoc projects that encompass dealer valuation and/ or dealer structural reorganization 

KPI:
•    DRB appointment process includes solid assessment of financial plan for key dealers.
•    Accuracy of valuation 
 

Dealer Credit Worthiness     
Collaborate with the Credit team in the discussion and negotiation with dealers to ensure solid and long term viable dealer financial structure and management. 

KPI: 

•    Adequacy of dealer financials vs. Marketing plan ambitions

•    No Bobcat credit exposure


Monitor & Report Dealer Network Key financials     
Assess/analyze overall dealer profitability to support Network strategy review & deployment

KPI:
•    Annual status report out
 

Dealer Profitability tools & programs     
Create tools for dealers to self-assess their financial performance and educational courses for their continued financial acumen development

KPI:
•    Number of tools available and use of those tools by dealers

Job Requirement

Education & Qualification
Finance/economics - Masters Degree preferred


Knowledge & Skill

  • Has a deep understanding of a dealers business model, key financial indicators and market dynamics.
  • Deep experience of dealer network management
  • Able to analyze Annual Business Results and Operating Plans of dealer candidates and operational dealers
  • Strong knowledge in financial analysis, modeling and interpretation
  • Enthusiastic about implementing change and challenging status quo 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and can-do attitude.
  • Enjoys working cross-departmentally 
  • (interconnected with Regional team, Channel Development team, Finance team and other functions)
  • English language is a must
  • Multiple languages desired
  • Experience: minimum 5-7 years required, preferred 7>10 years business experience preferably in Business management in automotive/capital goods industry
  • Travel standard: 25 - 50%
  • Global Breadth: Multi-Country (> One Country)
