Job Information

This supply chain focused position works within the materials and logistics teams to develop and implement plans to improve supply chain network, material flow, parts presentation, and delivery processes in alignment with the regional material and logistic strategies.

 

In addition to working within the materials and logistics teams this co-op position offers shadowing opportunities with other supply chain disciplines of sourcing, purchasing and planning, and forecasting and product scheduling.

Role & Responsibility

Your co-op may provide hands-on work in the follow example areas:

  • Establish and monitor metrics relative to the local and regional supply chain
  • Design, prototype and implementation of material flow and logistics options within the supply chain
    • Examples include: dock door to point of use material handling process, container management for improved line-side presentation and material flow/replenishment signaling, dock door utilization, transportation modes, transportation paths, Parts control area layouts and operations, line side area layout and operation, returnables methods and paths
  • Business cases creation and cross-functional project team execution
  • Design optimized models for inbound and outbound logistics networks
  • Calculate manpower needs for supply chain segments which may include new processes for material flow, inventory accuracy, and logistics processes
  • Support process improvement initiatives across the region’s supply chain network

Job Requirement

  • 0<2 years experience
  • Jr. or Sr. standing in Business, Engineering, Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related fields
  • Previous co-op or internship a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Capable of completing tasks using business systems (WMS,MES, ERP)
  • Strong analytical skills required
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills are a necessity
  • Ability to communicate individually and in a group environment
