The Distribution Center Site Lead position is responsible for the daily tactical execution of the operations activities in alignment with strategic direction given by senior operations leadership. This position will work to ensure our distribution centers are meeting quality and delivery expectations to our customers through daily involvement with the 3PL team. Other responsibilities will include leading or supporting various operations and packaging initiatives in order to reduce cost and improve customer satisfaction.

Role & Responsibility

Customer Service:

  • Review SDR’s (parts claims) in continuous effort to improve service. Represent other Company employees (DPSM’s, Dealer Support, Pricing, Material Planners, Ecommerce) in addressing customer concerns, in conjunction with 3rd party logistics provider. 
  • Work with 3PL to ensure high priority shipments are shipped out as needed.
  • Manage vendor relationships pertaining to parts and attachment distribution. 

APLL Contracts:

  • Ensure APLL contractual requirements met (KPI’s). 
  • Participate in contractual negotiations/review with 3rd party logistics provider. 

Process Excellence:

  • Work with resources and packaging suppliers to achieve functional packaging goals.
  • Regular review of kitting processes to ensure customer and cost needs are met.
  • Work with internal and 3PL staff to ensure inventory integrity within the distribution center.
  • Identify and drive cost reduction and quality  improvements .  
  • Troubleshoot new and existing packaging problems involving designs, materials and processes and provide creative, timely, and cost-effective solutions. 
  • Evaluate distribution facility processes, looking for gains in efficiencies, quality, and cost savings opportunities. 
  • Ensure appropriate handling of product (inbound, storage, and outbound).
  • Daily presence to ensure that Bobcat parts requirements are met; review/audit metric reporting. 
  • Review/approve invoices. 
  • Identify SAP issues and fix or escalate to IT.
  • Support IT and SAP development  changes such as UAT.

Job Requirement

  • Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. (or equivalent  work experience) Related work experience in lieu of degree
  • Experience Required: 5>7 Years.
  • Experience in working in a warehouse operations & logistics environment preferred.
  • Familiar with RFP requests & evaluating carrier pricing preferred.
  • Effective leadership & communication skills.
  • Travel Required: <25% 
  • In-depth knowledge of packaging, warehousing and distribution operations in a large warehouse. 
  • Lean-Six Sigma experience. 
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Suite .
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement solutions. 
  • Understands value chain structure in the industry.
  • Utilizes resources and builds sustainable working networks.
