Job Information

Administration, development and oversight of the Doosan FCA world-class Quality organization.  Support, oversee and perform quality team tasks and achievements with a focus on team development. Support quality assurance goals with on-target delivery of quality services across all current quality management programs. Provide quality initiatives and objectives support to all relevant internal groups, suppliers and customers, yielding timely, cost-effective quality goal attainment. Strong focus toward reengineering processes and methods to ensure process improvements, and advancement and achievement of company objectives and strategic plans focused on cost, efficiency and quality, with a fundamental focus on continuous improvement. May supervise Inspector/Technician group.

Role & Responsibility

  • Recognized by internal staff and external customers and suppliers as having expert quality knowledge that extends across multiple disciplines.
  • Understand overall business objectives and quality principles, and continually work to deliver results and create solutions that support these goals and needs.
  • Ensure customer commitments are met with quality products and processes.
  • Remain focused on guiding others toward the most important Doosan objectives.
  • Responsible for budget development, support and target achievement.
  • Hold self and others accountable for providing coaching, performance feedback, and identification of, commitment to, and achievement of developments plans.
  • Motivate staff/teams, leverage skills and provide support necessary to assure effective process execution and personal/team growth.
  • Work across organizational boundaries and encourage collaboration to produce superior results.
  • View problems as opportunities for improvement, identify root causes of problems, secure relevant information to identify possible solutions, determine best solution, and complete mistake-proofing process.
  • Demonstrate effective, reliable problem-solving skills.
  • Keep abreast of the developments in the quality field, and identify and communicate breakthrough quality-focused business ideas and practices.

Job Requirement

Education & Experience

  • BA/BS with 0-2+ years of experience
  • Engineering or Quality Assurance degree discipline required. 
  • Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9001, etc)
  • Multiple years of experience supporting a quality organization in a manufacturing or engineering environment desired
  • Experience with PPAP, FMEAs, Gauge R&Rs, and Process Control Plans
  • Experience working with suppliers and supplier quality

Knowledge & Skill

  • Full understanding and deployment of a Quality Management System
  • Expert knowledge of ISO 9001
  • Interpretation of technical drawings and specifications, industry specific standards and knowledge of change control processes and methods.
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communications and organizational skills
  • Intense focus on detail
