POSITION SUMMARY
 
The Aftermarket Buyer is responsible for deploying sourcing strategies for each category assigned to his/her portfolio. Therefore he/ she monitors, influences, and improves supplier behavior and performance regarding quality, delivery responsiveness, and cost competitiveness. The Aftermarket Buyer also proactively selects sources and drives supplier negotiations.
 

Role & Responsibility

•    Analyze supplier markets and identify resource opportunities to ensure the availability of (new) products for our Aftermarket business
•    Participate in developing Sourcing targets for the assigned categories as well as best practices
•    Follow and guarantee the best achievements of cost, quality, and service targets through strong knowledge of supplier negotiation
•    Contribute to continuous improvement through the practice of Kaizen by questioning internal processes and procedures and getting innovative ideas from suppliers
•    Participate in the suppliers’ evaluation and selection, through the nomination committee process, and risk management in collaboration with the central procurement team
•    Guarantee the deployment of supply agreements with the suppliers in collaboration with the central procurement team
•    Support the creations of RFQs and manage our ERP system regarding sourcing related information
 
 

Job Requirement

•    University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Economics, or a similar qualification
•    Minimum 3 years of experience in the tasks mentioned above
•    Fluent English skills (verbal and written), another European language is a plus
•    Good knowledge of ERP systems (ideally Oracle) and MS Office, particularly Excel
•    Strong negotiator with expertise in legal terms and conditions
•    Proactive, takes initiative, stress-resistant, a problem solver
