As a senior database administrator with Doosan Digital Innovation America, you would become part of the Doosan family. You would be responsible for understanding the applications that make these business units run and providing database structures to support them. You will need to be well rounded in database technologies that are both on premises and in the cloud. Your expertise and understanding of best practices will be essential to keep the databases running efficiently.
The primary objective of the Database Administrator Sr. is to develop and maintain corporate Oracle databases ensuring uptime in our manufacturing facilities and data centers. You will also be expected to participate in new projects – defining database strategy, architecture, standards, and procedures to uphold the integrity and security of company data records. The DBA is responsible for partnering with application owners to assist them with developing data structures, optimizing databases, and managing technology life cycle. The DBA will also be required to work with the security team to test and deploy patches to minimize the threat of data compromise. You will also be expected to participate in new projects – defining database strategy, architecture, standards, and procedures to uphold the integrity and security of company data records. Additionally, you will be required to work effectively with a team that is globally dispersed
Role & Responsibility
Database Maintenance
- All aspects of database administration including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, migration, capacity planning, monitoring and performance tuning, backup and recovery.
- Change management including maintenance of multiple development, test, QA, and production environments. Responsible for deploying approved changes to production.
- 24x7 support with our global team, including driving Root Cause Analysis (RCA), preventative action follow-through, and participation in weekly operational meetings.
- Actively participate and contribute to projects involving enterprise systems enhancements.
- Implementation and ongoing support of high availability architecture (Exadata, RAC, ASM, Active Data Guard).
- Participate in project design and database design decisions. Refine and troubleshoot the design.
- Create and maintain appropriate documentation about the database and the data architecture.
- Regular proactive capacity planning and tending reviews of all databases. Producing weekly, monthly management reports.
- Develop and implement Database security policies and procedures, in line with corporate objectives.
- Must work with application developers to support database architecture, interfaces, back-end integration, life cycle support and upgrades.

Job Requirement
What Skills and Experience You’ll Need:
- Must have 5+ years Oracle DBA working experience.
- Must have 5+ year of managing databases in cloud environments.
- Must have 5+ experience with MSSQL.
- Knowledge of AWS database services; Aurora, Dynamo, and RedShift
- Experience with Oracle 26ai, 23ai and 19c, including Multi-Tenant Architecture and RAC Databases, with a strong understanding of database infrastructure design.
- Extensive experience as an Oracle administrator including management, maintenance, configuration, and optimization in a high-availability environment.
- Experienced in Database backup using RMAN, OEM Grid Control, and Linux Shell Script.
- Strong skills in PL/SQL, Phython/Linux Shell, tuning and debugging.
- Experience with GRID manager, TOAD, and other Oracle tools.
- Experience with implementation and maintenance of Disaster Recovery environments using Data Guard, ensuring business continuity.
- Experience with patch management - applying quarterly database CPU, PSU, SPU, BP patches, ensuring database security and stability.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working with high demands and short deadlines.
- Highly adaptable with ability to work in a fast-paced demanding environment.
- Must have excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

Education:
